Nice for What by Drake- Song review

Drake…Oh Drake, he can never do wrong! The world has been anticipating for Drake to drop another hit and he then blesses the World with his new single, “Nice for what”. Drake has definitely set the tone for the summer with this song, endearing and energetic.

Let’s just take a second to go crazy over the beats and instrumental to this song! Nice for what, starts off with a quick 90’s rap beat, that sounds like it could be a sample of one of Doug E. Fresh hits. Then it takes a turn and Drake hits us with a sample of the one and only…wait.. late R&B star, Lauryn Hill’s hit “Ex-Factor”. Which grasp your attention from the jump. No other rapper in the late 2000s has ever thought to use one of the great Lauryn Hill’s songs. But aye, that’s what makes Drake stand out from the crowd.

When you with the fantastic up beat background, and Drakes smooth, and joyful delivery, you can’t help but ‘bob’ your head to the beat! This is a song for all genders when you’re getting ready for a night out with your friends.

Now to top it off, as if Drake hasn’t blessed us enough already, he hits us with a dope music video that screams women empowerment. This music video was full of classy, vibrant, and influential woman such as, Tiffany Haddish, Yara Shahidi, Tracee Ellis, and many more.

Overall, Drakes new single ‘Nice for what’, is hip hop at it’s very best: pure fun! I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us with his new album being released this year in June!
